September 30, 2023, Government House will be lit orange for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day), in honour of the Indigenous Survivors of residential schools and children who never returned home, as well as their families and communities.

On this day, and always, members of the public are invited to visit the Heart Garden on the grounds of Government House to reflect upon the tragic and painful history of residential schools.
