September 29, 2023, Government House will be lit purple in recognition of Purple for Platelets, an initiative to raise awareness of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and other platelet disorders.

September 30, 2023, Government House will be lit orange for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day), in honour of the Indigenous Survivors of residential schools and children who never returned home, as well as their families and communities. On this day, and always, members of the public are invited to visit the Heart Garden on the grounds of Government House to reflect upon the tragic and painful history of residential schools.

October 2, 2023, Government House will be lit light blue in recognition of the International Day of Non-Violence.

October 3, 2023, 6:00 p.m., Her Honour, The Honourable Judy M. Foote, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and His Honour, Howard W. Foote, will host the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador Investiture Dinner at Government House.

October 3, 2023, Government House will be lit red in recognition of Learning Disabilities Month.

October 4, 2023, 11:00 a.m., Their Honours will participate in the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador Investiture Ceremony at Government House.
