Lieutenant Governor

Upon request, the Lieutenant Governor will send birthday/anniversary greeting to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians celebrating birthdays of 80 years and to couples celebrating wedding anniversaries of 25 years or more, in intervals of 5 years. To request a greeting please contact the office at (709) 729-2669 or email at reginawhiteway@gov.nl.ca.

Messages from The King

His Majesty King Charles III sends messages to Canadians who are 100 years of age or older and to couples who have been married for 60 years or more. These are issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General of Canada. For more information visit Governor General Congratulatory Messages. Please note that you will be asked to provide proof of age for a birthday and years of marriage. Send your request six to 12 weeks before the event to ensure the message arrives on time. Messages from the King are mailed two weeks prior to the event.

Messages from the Governor General of Canada

The Governor General of Canada sends messages to Canadians who are 90 years of age or older at 5 year intervals and to couples who have been married for 50 years or more at 5 year intervals. Visit Governor General Congratulatory Messages .
