Unveiling of “Taylor’s Pole of the North” on Government House Grounds

Their Honours ly unveiled “Taylor’s Pole of the North”, a unique hand-carved pole depicting icons from Newfoundland and Labrador, on Government House grounds on 25 October 2010. Pictured here (left to right) are the Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, Her Honour, Mrs. Viola Taylor, His Honour, Abiel Taylor - the hand carver of this piece of art, Earl Ludlow of Newfoundland Power, Geoff Davis of Bell Aliant, John Ottenheimer of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro, and Bob Pike of Newfoundland Power.
