On Sunday, 8 March 2009, at 11:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend the Commonwealth Sunday Service at the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. His Honour will read the Queen's Commonwealth Day Message.

On Tuesday, 10 March 2009, at 10:00 a.m., The Lieutenant Governor will present the Medal of Bravery on behalf of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean to John “Jack” Eli Marsh, Sr., of Lower Lance Cove, at a Ceremony in Government House. Following the Ceremony, he and Mrs. Crosbie will host a Reception for Mr. Marsh and other invited guests.
Thursday, 12 March 2009
On Thursday, 12 March 2009, at 2:00 p.m., His Honour, Honorary Chief of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, and Mrs. Crosbie will attend a Ceremony at RNC Headquarters, Fort Townshend, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the death of Constable William Moss who was killed in the line of duty. Mr. Crosbie will lay a wreath.
At 7:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor will attend a Mess Dinner hosted by Air Reserve Flight Torbay in commemoration of the 85th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force, at the Fort Pepperell Annex, Pleasantville.
