On Wednesday, 14 January 2009, at 2:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Honorary Chief of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, will present Police Exemplary Service Medals to members of the Constabulary stationed on the Northeast Avalon at a ceremony at Constabulary Headquarters. Following the Ceremony, at 4:00 p.m., he and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception for the medal recipients and other invited guests at Government House.

On Thursday, 15 January 2009, at 10:00 a.m., The Lieutenant Governor will present Commissions to newly-appointed Queen's Counsel at a Ceremony in Government House. Following the Ceremony, he and Mrs. Crosbie will host a Reception for recipients and invited guests.
Friday, 16 January 2009
On Friday, 16 January 2009, at 10:30 a.m., Their Honours will attend the Canadian Forces Naval Engineering School Detachment St. John’s Graduation Parade for students of the Naval Combat Systems Technician Training Plan, at CFS St. John’s Drill Hill in Pleasantville.
At 3:30 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor, Patron of the Newfoundland and Labrador Division of the CNIB, and Mrs. Crosbie will host a reception for invited guests at Government House to launch CNIB’s Everyday Hero Campaign celebrating Louis Braille’s 200th Anniversary and Vision Health in Newfoundland and Labrador.
