On Sunday, 14 September 2008, at 11:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend the 68th Battle of Britain Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance at the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Following the service, His Honour will lay a wreath at the War Memorial on Water Street and then proceed to the saluting base on Water Street East to take the salute from the parade participants during the March Past.

On Monday, 15 September 2008, at 3:30 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will attend the launch of the World Podium Influential Leaders Series sponsored by Mount Saint Vincent University, at the Arts & Culture Centre. The first speaker will be Sarah, Duchess of York.

On Wednesday, 17 September 2008, at 6:30 p.m., His Honour, Patron of the Newfoundland and Labrador Blood Disorders Education Network, and Mrs. Crosbie will attend the Blood Disorders Education Network Faculty Dinner at the Bungalow in Bowring Park.

On Friday, 19 September 2008, at 8:00 p.m., Her Honour will attend Rising Tide Theatre’s presentation of “So Let’s Bring on a Favorite - The Joan Morrissey Story” at the Arts and Culture Centre.
