On Monday, 27 October 2008, at 3:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will be guests of the Bell Island Heritage Society at the Registered Heritage Structure Designation for the Bell Island No. 2 Mine at the Bell Island Community Museum and No. 2 Mine Tour Site. His Honour will unveil the Designation Plaque.

On Wednesday, 29 October 2008, at 10:30 a.m., The Lieutenant Governor will receive at Government House His Excellency François Delattre, Ambassador of France to Canada, and Mr. Gilles Courrègelongue, Consul General of France in the Atlantic Provinces.

On Thursday, 30 October 2008, at 10:30 a.m., His Honour, Patron of the Lifesaving Society in Newfoundland and Labrador will present Honour and Rescue Awards on behalf of the Society at a Ceremony at Government House. Following the Ceremony, Their Honours will host a Reception for recipients and other invited guests.
