On Sunday, 19 October 2008, at 3:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Patron of the Church Lads' Brigade in Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend the Brigade's 116th Anniversary Church Parade at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Following the Service, Mr. Crosbie will take the salute from the parade participants during the March Past.

On Wednesday, 22 October 2008, at 4:30 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor, Patron of the Newfoundland Branch of the Last Post Fund, will present the Last Post Fund Award of Merit to Ruby Dewling at a Ceremony at Government House. Following the Ceremony, Their Honours will host a Reception for invited guests.

On Thursday, 23 October 2008, at 12:30 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will host a Luncheon at Government House for invited guests in honour of His Excellency Pat Binns, Ambassador of Canada to Ireland.
At 5:30 p.m., Their Honours will attend Memorial University’s 27th Annual Alumni Tribute Awards Gala at R. Gushue Hall.
