On Tuesday, 22 July 2008, at 2:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, will present the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award on behalf of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, to Mrs. Margaret Rowe of Conception Bay South, at a Ceremony in Government House. Following the Ceremony, he and Her Honour Jane Fureaux Crosbie will host a Reception for Mrs. Rowe and other invited guests.

On Friday, 25 July 2008, at 11:30 a.m., the Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will attend the finale celebration of the 2008 Typically Canadian Tribute Tour at the Confederation Building. His Honour will bring greetings.
The Lieutenant Governor’s annual Garden Party will be held on the grounds of Government House on Wednesday, 30 July 2008, at 3:00 p.m. Every resident of Newfoundland and Labrador and any visitor to the Province is welcome to attend. If the weather is not suitable on 30 July, the Garden Party will be held on Thursday, 31 July.
