On Monday afternoon, 14 July 2008, His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, will visit Point Amour Lighthouse as part of their 150th Anniversary Celebrations, and will be the guest of The Labrador Straits Historical Development Corporation at the opening of “Looking Back”, a celebration of Labrador Straits arts and crafts and the people who make them, at the Heritage Research Center of Point Amour.
At 7:30 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor will be the guest of the Board of Directors of the Battle Harbour Historic Trust at a dinner at Battle Harbour Historic District National Historic Site.
Tuesday, 15 July 2008
On Tuesday morning, 15 July 2008, His Honour will tour the Battle Harbour Historic District National Historic Site of Canada.
At 2:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor will open officially the Labrador Fishery Exhibit in the Flour Store at Battle Harbour, followed by a Reception in the Salmon Store.
At 7:00 p.m., His Honour will open officially the Battle Harbour Visitor Information Centre and Ferry Terminal at Mary’s Harbour, Labrador.

On Wednesday morning, 16 July 2008, The Lieutenant Governor will tour the Red Bay National Historic Site of Canada.
Thursday, 17 July 2008
On Thursday, 17 July 2008, His Honour and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception for invited guests at Government House in honour of the York Regional Police Male Chorus.
