Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend the Christmas service of Nine Lessons and Carols at Cochrane Street United Church. His Honour will read a Scripture lesson.

On Monday morning, 22 December 2008, The Lieutenant Governor will attend the funeral of Private Justin Peter Jones at Pius X Church in Baie Verte. Private Jones gave his life while serving in Afghanistan.
