On Wednesday evening, 3 September 2008, His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will visit the Stephenville area on the west coast of Newfoundland, arriving in Stephenville at 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, 4 September 2008
On Thursday, 4 September 2008, at 10:00 a.m., Their Honours will visit the Atlantic Minerals Limited operation in Lower Cove, Port au Port.
On Thursday afternoon, The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will meet with the Mayor and Councillors of Cape St. George at a reception. Following the Reception, they will visit the PDI drilling operation at Garden Hill near Cape St. George.
Friday, 5 September, 2008
On Friday morning, 5 September 2008, Their Honours will tour the Bay St. George Campus of the College of the North Atlantic in Stephenville.
At 7:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will meet with the Mayor and Councillors of the Town of Stephenville, Mayor and Councillors of the surrounding Bay St. George communities, the Bay St. George Chamber of Commerce, the Faculty and Students of the Bay St. George Campus of the College of the North Atlantic and other invited guests at a Reception at the College.
Saturday, 6 September, 2008
On Saturday morning, 6 September 2008, Their Honours will visit the Chaffey Dairy Farm in St. David’s.
On Saturday afternoon, The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will visit the AUR Resources Inc operations (at Turf Point) at St. George’s. Following the visit, they will meet with the Federation of Newfoundland Indians in St. George’s at the historic St. George’s Court House.
On Saturday evening, Their Honours return to St. John’s.
